AWP 2012: Three of These Things are True

1. I drank a Bloody Mary with bacon-flavored vodka out of a Mickey Mouse mug on the trip here.
2. I shared a cab ride to the hotel with a Very Famous Author.
3. Overheard man at the kickoff party say: “It’s not that I hate this conference. I just spend every second of it wishing it would be over already, you know?”
4. Had drinks, dinner and lovely conversation with our own Teri and Sherry…plus a bonus surprise guest later.
Okay, I’ll give you a hint about at least one of these statements:
from left to right that’s yours truly, Teri, Suzy, and Sherry.

I’m guessing the cab ride. The guy who was fessing about the conference needs a little perspective. Unless he’s staff, then I totally get it.
