AWP 2012: Living Arrangements Signing
Posted on 02 March 2012
Signing at the BkMk Press/New Letters table
with Susan Grimm (fellow BkMk author) with her poetry collection, Lake Erie Blue
See: supportive writing friends
My heartfelt thanks to everyone who stopped by. I signed a good number of books, saw a few old friends, met some wonderful writers and readers for the first time and, of course, had the support from the ladies above.
In the coming days (or, more realistically, early next week) I’ll blog about some of the best sessions I attended at AWP — but as you can probably tell from this photo-heavy post, I can’t find the time at the moment.

Why am I not there? I WANT TO BE THERE.
I know! Where is the Star Trek transporter when we need it??!!
Beam me up, Laura!
Me, too!
Me too too.
This looks wonderful! Congratulations, Laura! What a kick this must have been.
You all look so gorgeous! I want to hug you all!!!
OMG! The ladies are there! How lovely for you! You look so happy, absolutely radiant, and such a lovely crowd. Congratulations all over again!
Such great souvenirs I have: two yet-to-be-washed Bloody Mary mugs and a signed copy of Living Arrangements, already placed in a prime spot on my bookcase.
My only regret is that I couldn’t stick around for the rest of the festivities. As I told Teri, next time I am kicking Sensible Sherry to the curb.
Love, love, love.
That picture makes me smile and also recollect how panicked I was in that room. Thank god Suzy found the caramel fudge table…
You know, I also look at it and think how proud I am of you, that you are sitting there with the book that you wrote.
THAT is all sorts of awesome.
