Winter in Cleveland

Posted on 21 December 2012

I’m sitting on my purple couch watching the snow come down. Cirrus is sitting behind my head and Saucy is keeping a close watch on the tree branches moving in the wind. It finally feels like winter here in Cleveland.

In the coming days, I am going to bake dozens of cookies and see the Santaland Diaries and maybe cook an elaborate meal, we’ll see. I’ll definitely write several thousand words of my new novel and sleep in and read a thick lit mag from cover to cover and maybe make more homemade wrapping paper from old shopping bags, a potato, and a little bit of paint.

In other words, I’m putting the brakes on this blog until after the new year. Merry Christmas, happy 2013, and all that jazz. See you again soon.

A few cat photos to tide you over:

Have a lovely holiday break, Laura!

Try not to get too much flour on the cats! :)

You had me at, “I’m sitting on my purple couch.”

    • Fun fact: The purple couch (and loveseat) were purchased gently used from a dental student who bought them in a small boutique in CA, moved them to Cleveland, and then almost immediately sold them on Craigslist. They are also now “gently worn” from Cirrus’s claws. Cheers!

I love a cat photo, no matter the season. Thanks for sharing them, lady.

And may your holiday in the new house be joyful–and FULL of jazz.
